Jan Willem Koeman and Cees Klaver are the managing directors of Pharos. Alice Clijncke is port expert.

 

Jan Willem Koeman specialises in port strategy, port planning and port manage­ment projects and has been involved extensively in the abovementioned projects. He has more than 30 years of experience in port strategy, design, operation and management in the Netherlands as well as inter­nationally. Prior to joining Pharos he was deputy director Strategic Planning and Research of the Rotterdam Port Authority. Before that he headed different business develop­ment branches of the Rotterdam Port Authority and a research and a marketing branch of the Delft Hydraulics Laboratory. He was educated as a naval architect at the Delft University of Technology.

 

Cees Klaver specialises in port and terminal planning, design, engineer­ing, operations, logistics and organisation. He has been involved extensively in port and transport projects during a period of more than 30 years in The Netherlands and abroad. Prior to joining Pharos he was consultant with container terminal operator ECT Rotterdam, the Rotterdam Port Authority and with the Dutch consultancy companies Witteveen+Bos and Haskoning. He graduated in 1977 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Delft University of Technology.

 

Alice Clijncke graduated in hydraulic engineering at Delft University of Technology (2001). From 2001 to 2008 she worked as a project engineer in the field of hydraulic infrastructures, ports and waterways for the Dutch consultancy firm Witteveen+Bos. Since 2005 she is involved in the development of Maasvlakte 2, the Rotterdam port extension with 1000 hectares. Her main areas of attention in this project are port planning and hinterland transportation. From 2008 till date she works both for the Rotterdam Port Authority as a project manager and for Pharos as a port expert.
